Instructions:

Preparation: Surface preparation is vital to an effective repair. Remove all pressure from the hose or pipe. Thoroughly clean and sand the areas to be repaired.

Use the protective gloves supplied and remove the resin- impregnated fiberglass tape from the foil pouch. To speed curing time immerse fiberglass tape in water for about 20 seconds.

Firmly wrap the tape over the area to be repaired. Pull in the direction of the wrap, extending the tape at least 2" beyond the leak in each direction. Apply 7 or 8 layers of tape directly over the leak area.

IMPORTANT: To increase strength and bonding, continue to tighten and squeeze the tape in the direction of the wrap. This removes excessive air pockets for proper bonding. Continue to do this every 2 minutes for about 15 minutes, or until the tape is very tacky. A second application may be applied, or excess resin may be removed with alcohol or acetone before curing. Repair sets in 30 - 40 minutes

The repair will cure in 30 to 40 minutes, then if you desire you may sand and paint it. Applied correctly, the repair will withstand 150 PSI and 600 degrees F.
